Our clinic is free of charge to anyone wishing to spay or neuter their pet, but it is not free of costs to us. We feel that it’s more important to provide this service to our community than it is to charge people who wish to reduce the stray dog population.
In order to reduce the stray dog population in Thailand, TMTRD has a goal to spay and neuter as many street dogs as possible. One female dog and her offspring have the potential to produce 67,000 puppies over a 6 year period.
These are dogs that would be unvaccinated, dying from disease, hit by cars, or just struggling to survive.
In 2019 we spayed and neutered 680 dogs. We accomplished this with our two staff veterinarians performing sterilization surgeries at our clinic and by working closely with the local municipality, targeting specific areas in our community with high street dogs populations.

As word spreads, our two veterinarians now often spay and neuter 60 dogs each month, as well as providing vaccinations and other medical assistance. Combine that with our weekly spay and neuter campaign coordinated with the municipality and we are on track to spay/neuter 1500 dogs this year. It is the single most important thing we can do.
these puppies and their 2 mothers are living in construction site, where we feed them daily. We will take in the mothers and spay them very soon.
We are in the process to spay and neuter all dogs in our area, but it takes time, and also when people dump dogs, it is one step forward and two steps back.
