A street dog was brought to our clinic with severely deformed back legs. They were infected, oozing pus, and bleeding from being dragged on the ground for so long. He’ll need his back legs amputated or risk constant infections and illness. His blood levels are too low for surgery so he will stay in our quarantine area until they improve. The lady who found him named him Coco.
Now Coco is in our quarantine unit where he’s receiving fluids twice a day, antibiotics, and vitamins. Before we move forward with his treatment plan we need to get him in better shape. Due to the infected scrapes on his legs as well as some other issues, his blood count is low. Once that is sorted and stabilized, we’ll move forward.
