    Volunteering at The Man That Rescues Dogs is an unforgettable experience, but you will only take from it what you are willing to put into it. You will be expected to be self-sufficient, hard-working, patient and willing to learn. The dogs are mostly strays and have experienced hardships that you can only imagine. Some are domesticated dogs that have been mistreated or neglected and require all your love and attention to rehabilitate them and prove to them that their lives will be better. In every case, being a part of this transformation on a large scale is truly life-changing.

    There are many activities including spending time in The Clinic (those with veterinary interests or graduate/ professional vets take precedence), Quarantine Section assistance (cleaning and daily health checks), joining the 2-hour feeding route (3 people per day), playing with puppies, helping with TMTRD social media, creating fun & engaging content for the TMTRD social media & website, promoting TMTRD and helping in creating initiatives that can help the Foundation help more dogs, etc.

      The man That Rescues Dogs (TMTRD) is a Non-Profit Organization (NGO) in Sweden and Foundation in Thailand that rescues and cares for stray dogs. We vaccinate, spay, and neuter, provide medical treatment and find homes for these former street dogs.

      Thai street dogs are a mix of many different breeds, therefore we cannot identify any dogs specific breed. They were either born in the streets or abandoned by their owners who no longer wanted to care for their dogs.

      Adopting a rescue dog is one of the most rewarding experiences for both the dog and you, the future doggy parent. We will work with you to make sure you find the best dog that suits your lifestyle and family needs. In order to be eligible to adopt you will need to check the TMTRD Adoptions Checklist.

      To foster a dog from us, you help us to have space for saving other poor dogs. As a Foster parent, you get to look after a dog or dogs for a timeframe that suits you, knowing that your time, love and care go a long way towards helping the dog and the shelter. The dog gets to learn how to be a domestic dog with someone that loves him or her and readies them for eventual adoption. To find out more please read our Foster checklist.

      Puppy Package is entry-level sponsorship. Giving your dog 2 delicious, nutritious meals a day. It also covers any medicine or medical treatment, staff salaries, fuel and maintenance, water and electricity bills.

      Dog Pack is a popular choice. Providing all the benefits of the Puppy Package. Practical equipment or tools for the shelter like poop scoops and brooms or medical supplies or renewing Veterinary equipment.

      Pack Leader is a top-level and one that brings the most to your sponsored dog. Like the two lower-level. Vital funds go towards larger more impactful projects such as The Clinic refurbishment, Sanctuary expansion, essential Wheelchair maintenance.

      The Gift of Sponsorship is also a great gift for loved ones or to honor a pet whose memory you hold dear. We provide a similar package to Dog Pack level. It provides all the benefits of the Puppy Package.
